WASHING INSTRUCTIONS AND DENIM CARE

I dig denim encourages an environmental approach to washing clothing. Considerate washing and drying habits help your clothing and the environment stay beautiful. All I dig denim pieces have a label with information about denim care, but here are a few extra tips for a greener wash.

  • Only wash clothes when necessary. Sometimes a good air-dry will do the trick.
  • When using a washing machine, be sure to fill it up.
  • Choose an environmentally friendly detergent. They’re kind to the environment and your skin.
  • Use the environmentally friendly washing program on your washing machine.
  • Our jeans should be washed at 40 degrees Celsius and no warmer.
  • Our knitted pieces should be hand-washed.
  • Our pieces containing elastane should not be washed in water warmer than 40 degrees Celsius.
  • Do not use softener when washing I dig denim jeans.
  • Avoid softener. It contains a lot of chemicals.
  • Try to avoid using dryers, since they tend to consume a lot of energy.

OUR CLOTHING

All of I dig denim’s suppliers are members of BSCI and follow REACH. We select our suppliers and partners with great care, so as to ensure that they abide by their agreements with the factories commissioned to manufacture our products. Our clothing is primarily produced in China and we maintain a continuous dialogue with all of our suppliers to ensure that they are committed to the high standards we expect in terms of working conditions and ethical responsibilities. MATERIALS

Our denim is made from a combination of cotton, polyester and elastane, making it durable, stretchy and comfortable. Our t-shirts and tops are made from a combination of cotton and elastane, so that they too are stretchy and comfortable. The exact composition may vary depending on the model. Our material suppliers also follow REACH – the European Union’s regulations concerning the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals. RECYCLING

I dig denim values not only quality, but social and environmental responsibility. We expect that all of our employees, business partners and suppliers conduct business in a respectful and responsible manner. I dig denim’s code of conduct exists to ensure that our board, our management and our employees meet our requirements and see to it that all of our carefully chosen external partners are informed.

Our clothing is primarily produced in China. We select our suppliers and partners with great care, so as to ensure that they abide by their agreements with the factories commissioned to manufacture our products. Our suppliers have long relationships with many factories; several of these relationships have lasted over 15 years.

We maintain a continuous dialogue with all of our suppliers to ensure that they are committed to the high standards we expect in terms of working conditions and ethical responsibilities. The production process is monitored and audited to confirm that requirements are met.

Our suppliers and producers are members of BSCI – the Business Social Compliance Initiative. This entails that they have the means to influence suppliers and factories to constantly make changes for the better. All members of BSCI follow the same code of conduct. Child labor is not permissible under any circumstances. Given that I dig denim produces clothing primarily for children, we wish to improve the lives of children around the world. We turn this wish into reality with a strong and unwavering stance against child labour and an annual contribution to the Childhood Foundation. We also donate any residual stock to carefully selected charities.

It is imperative to us that the I dig denim brand be associated with a great respect for human rights and the environment in all of our business endeavours. Our goal is to produce all products as responsibly as possible. This goal requires a continuous dialogue with all parties involved in the manufacturing of our clothing. We intend to further improve production at all levels as we grow as a company.
